VERA Gold Foundation, which is registered here in Nigeria, UK and Spain, with the sole aim of fighting against Rape and other forms of sexual harassment, has given out food items and cash to a woman who delivered triplets.
The woman who is identified as Mrs. Goodness Nnamdi, and married to Mr. Nnamdi, a barber and both lives together in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria, delivered of triplets in Ebenma Hospital Ogborhil, was said to be stranded in the hospital because of the husband’s inability to pay the hospital bills and meet up with some basic need to take care of his wife and the triplets
Mrs Vera Chika Osagiede, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, having heard about the woman’s ordeal, decided to help through the foundation disclosed that she was moved by the pathetic story of the woman which made her foundation swung into action to give help just she emphasized that the driving force of the foundation is humanity.
The Noble of Charity, while speaking further to newsmen, immediately after the visit states that, the foundation is set out to carry out more humanitarian services, adding that, the foundation is already building homes for the elderly in Imo State, Nigeria where they will be coming to hangout and eat, for free.
She appreciated all those who are still humanitarian driven like she does, emphasizing that the downtrodden must be given adequate attention with life sustaining empowerments.
The Imo born philanthropist therefore calls on well meaning Nigerians to reach out to the woman with any possible assistance, stating that, at the time her foundation got wind of her ordeal, that she was still in hospital because she was not able to raise the money required for her discharge from the hospital.
Her words,” I am Happy that my foundation has been able to help in our own little ways to help the woman with food items and little cash to ameliorate her pains” she added.
