Panic in Ute-Okpu, Idumesah Over Mysterious Deaths

****Over 102 Persons Confirmed Dead

There are palpable fears in Ute-Okpu, and Idumesah both in governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s local government area over mysterious deaths rampaging the communities.

It was gathered from the two communities that some of the cases did not exhibit any symptoms before dying while some exhibited Feverish, Bleeding through their Nosries, stiffness and convulsion before finally giving up the ghost.

Investigation carried out by this medium revealed that over 40 persons between the ages 18 to 25 have died in Idumesah, while in Ute-Okpu, over 62 persons have also died, all totaling about 102, from what Delta State Commissioner for Health, named ‘Yellow Fever’.

It was also gartherd that a quiet number of persons who died from mysterious disease were strangers especially from Calabar extraction. Some residents who spoke to this medium alleged that those who died was as a result of drugs which they took. Others also alleged that it was an anger of the gods as their Shrine was destroyed by some Christians in both communities.

Delta State Commissioner for Health, Dr Mordi Ononye while confirming the reports disclosed that the deaths was caused by Yellow Fever. He therefore called for calm, stressing the State government is on top of the situation.

Navigating through information, it was also reported that the same sad story of mysterious deaths among younger persons, has been reported in Enugu State.
