DTHA 2023: Osazuwa Embarks On Royal Tour, Seek Blessings From Agbor, Abavo Monarchs

AGBOR– A top contender for the coveted House of Assembly ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ika South, Mr Emmanuel Osazuwa on Thursday, May 5th, 2022 embarked on a tour of the Agbor and Abavo Palaces in a bid to intimate the monarchs of his ambition and seek their royal blessings. Osazuwa who was before now, the Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Wealth Creation hails from Oza-Nogogo, a mineral rich community in Agbor and is vying to represent the good people of Ika South constituency at the DTHA come 2023 under the umbrella of the PDP.

His first point of call was the Agbor Palace, where in the company of his elder brother, Pastor Charles Osazuwa, founder of Rock of Ages International Church, Edo State, Chief Dennis Araro, Hon. Emmanuel Okoh(Olele), Hon Israel Obaye, Hon Ewere Nze Skala among others, pledged loyalty to the revered Agbor Monarch, HRM Dr Benjamin Ikenchuku Keagborekwuzi l, Dein of Agbor Kingdom.
In his usual fashion, the great monarch of Agbor welcomed his visitors warmly and thanked them for deeming it necessary to notify the Palace of the good intentions of Osazuwa.
He enjoined Agbor sons and daughters in politics to make it a habit of visiting the palace from time to time to intimate the crown of their political ambitions and their scorecards while in office.

A PDP source confirmed to DELTA DECIDES that since the entrance and consultation of Osazuwa into House of Assembly race, that a major confusion has erupted in the camp of Okoh that might lead to the final demise of his political strenght.

DTHA 2023: I Will Provide Infrastructure Across The Wards in Ika South – Osazuwa

AGBOR–A frontline Ika South House of Assembly aspirant under the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP Mr Emmanuel Osazuwa has revealed that he will provide basic infrastructure across the Twelve Wards in the constituency when elected.

Speaking with newsmen on Thursday in Agbor, Mr Osazuwa said the only legitimate way to distribute wealth is through infrastructure.

Delta State Commissioner for Higher Education,  Prof. Patrick Muoboghare has assured Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Correspondent  Chapel, Asaba roburst synergy.

Muoboghare assured the Chapel Chairman, Comrade Dominic  Adewale and his executive when they paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Asaba.

The Commissioner cleared the air on the issues surrounding the hike in school fees  in Delta State University,  Abraka, he reiterated that due to the urge to maintain her educational standard, “there was the need for the institution to adjust fees for the new intakes,  while the old students fees remain moderate as it is”.

He further added that the state government has no business in the affairs of school fees but to ensure that salaries and other entitlements of lecturers were promptly paid as at when due.

Dein while appreciating Rtn. Monye Lucky Ehiwuogwu for his contributions during consultation visit to the Dein Palace, last week, urged all aspirants not to use abusive words while campaigning, stating that the best form of campaign is telling the masses while they are better aspirants to the others.

Rtn Monye Ehiwuogwu, who is fondly called Ukpe thanked the Dein for his warm reception, just as he noted that his leadership qualities are second to none.

He appreciated the good people of Agbor for their continuous support, stating that, it was a sign of brotherly love.

DTHA 2023: Ika South Party Leaders Ask Chuky Dandy To Stepdown For Osazuwa

Elders and Leaders of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, Ika South chapter has appealed to the, member representing the constituency at the State House of Assembly and aspirant seeking reelection for the third term, Honorable Okoh Festus Chukwuyem to drop his ambition to contest the 2023 election and mobilize his political machinery to support the aspiration of Mr Emmanuel Osazuwa who hail from Ozanogogo to contest for the position.

The party leaders disclosed that the House of Assembly position has been zoned to Ihuozomor community, stressing that dropping the third term ambition by Honorable Okoh, was in the interest of equity, justice and fairness.

Muoboghare Has Corrected Misinformation Concerning Tertiary Institutions In The State

The Delta State Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Patrick Muoboghare has reiterated that the state government meant well by the establishment of the three new universities n the state.

Prof. Muoboghare stated this in his office while briefing the press concerning the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU Ntional) on the erroneous insinuation that the establishment of the universities was not in the interest of the citizens.

Muoboghare however, expressed his displeasure about the shallow understanding of ASUU, while he disabused their minds on the issues of TETFUND having all projects in the tertiary institutions.

He apparently declared that the state government was magnanimous and operated with human face and considerations, adding that many Deltans were denied opportunities of gaining admission even when they are qualified in some state and federal universities.

He stated few out of the numerous projects such as the Faculty of Arts, Engineering  in Delsu and many other projects in Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro, University of Delta, Agbor and Dennis Osadebay University,  Asaba are not TETFUND  funded projects.
“On the issues of better renumeration,  the staff of Delta State University were better off compare to their colleagues in  other universities”, he added.

The commissioner equally  stated that the state government was well positioned financially as it concerns her pensioners, stressing that ASUU National should always verify their information in order not to mislead the general public.

He called on ASUU to join hands with government, parents  and other stakeholders in the education sector so as to achieve greater heights together in the country.
