Italian Philanthropist, Antonino Bags Friend of Africa 2021 Award

An Italian based philanthropist who has devoted his time to helping Africans who migrated to Italy, through the sea to get stay as well as accommodation, Mr. Antonino Bevilaqua, has bagged” FRIEND of AFRICA 2021″ award by Yavnetwork, a branch of Revive Africa Initiative.

Mr. Antonino Bevilaqua as nominated by Quadrant Chief, (Dr.) Mrs. Mercy Eguriase Sule, the founder and chief Executive officer of Bemy’s foundation for sickle cell anemia and early Child Marriage, and a diaspora ambassador.

Disclosing the reason for Mr. Antonino, nomination to newsmen, Dr. Mercy noted that, Mr. Bevilaqua had displayed his unalloyed love for Africans in Italy by helping them fight for their papers through his foundation, “Rescue Mission”, registered with the mandate to help immigrants get their feet.

Speaking to the awardee via chat, Mr. Antonino Bevilaqua emphasized that Africans are hard working and loving people just as he dispelled the notion of the negative assertions about Africans.

He stated that had taken time to come to Africa for fact findings regarding the misconceived notions by his people but discovered the contrary.

He emphasized the need for masses focused approach to governance by their leaders, disclosing that, Africans biggest problem is bad leadership just as he urged her citizens to be more dedicated and maintain the culture of hard work and ethical values.

His words,” I am grateful and overwhelmed with this award of Friend of Africa. Truly, my notion and belief about Africa has been justified and I will continue to do my best to help immigrants in my country. ” he added.
