Ika South: Okwuijien Residents Pass Vote of Confidence on Okowa

The landlords and landladies of Okwuijien street, Ika South local government area of Delta State, Nigeria, has passed vote of confidence on Governor Okowa for his leadership prowess and managerial acumen.

The vote of confidence which was passed in their last meeting held in the Chairman’s house, Mr. Okwuijien Aghede, had the presence of both the landlords and landladies, even with the consent of those who resides outside Agbor.

In the meeting, the landlords and landladies, appreciated Governor Okowa for been infrastructural inclined, noting that, his disposition for constructing roads, building schools, especially upgrading the three mono technics to universities has earned him applauds which they emphasized is a landmark.

Speaking to newsmen immediately after their meeting, the secretary, Mrs. Egwu Joy, said that Governor is a God sent to Deltans just as she described his persons as a letter L man, whose mandate is to connect to people through these means of human capital development.

Another person who spoke before the end of the meeting, was Mr. Innocent Akpokueze, also known as Ayoba, who said that Okowa’s legacies can not be over emphasized.

He gave reason for their meeting as, demonstrating a thankful heart towards his immense contributions to Ika Land.

Revealing their commitment towards their support for the Stronger Delta Vission by the landlords and landladies, it was also disclosed that, they appreciated the Governor for giving their word of promised to rehabilitate the dilapidated roads, noting that, Governors is the Ekwueme of Africa.

Continuing, the Chairman of the landlords, Mr. Okwuiejien Aghede, is a promise keeper and has strong commitment to his words.

Eulogizing the Governor’s humanitarian disposition, the Councillor representing the ward, Hon. Chiyem Ojei said that, Governor Okowa is a Governor with human face just as he urged Ika people to give him more support.

Recall that, Governor Okowa had promised the residents of Okwuijei Street of rehabilitating the road when he attended Pa Nwagimejie’s late wife funeral mass which was held on the 22nd of May 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Okwuijie, street, Boji Boji Owa, Delta State Nigeria.
